This Daruma is about 5 meters high.
It has been consecrated in Heisei 8, on May 5.

Daruma Memorial Service on the first day of Kannon Bosatsu
January 18

Daruma san has been the protector deity of this temple since more than 480 years. On this day, Daruma Dolls of the believers, who have fulfilled the two wishes and have two eyes painted, are given back.




だるま大福茶会（4月第3日曜日）
Tea Ceremony in memory of Daruma
Third Sunday in April

With the wish to live to an old age in good health.
One large bowl is shared with the wish for a harmonious life in family and company.

Memorial Service for Daruma Dolls

Held every year in the beginning of January, Daruma dolls that have both of their eyes painted are piled up and set afire by a bamboo called "Fuku-take (good-luck bamboo).

Many Daruma dolls are thrown into the fire as spectators watch. The memorial service lasts for approximately 6 hours with the Daruma dolls being set afire around 1PM.
